About Me

I have sold millions of dollars of Luxury Properties in the Greater Boston area along with facilitating many Luxury Rentals. My territory is broad because most clients choose to work with me to purchase or lease a new home while selling or leasing their current home.

I majored in Finance and I am an Associate Broker with a Certified Short Sale, Foreclosure and REO specialty. I regularly participate in continuing education and staying current with local and national changes in the real estate market and new federal and local regulations and trends to have the knowledge and experience to guide you through the complicated process of selling, purchasing or leasing a property.

For Sellers, I offer accompanied Showings and Open Houses every weekend or as often as a Seller desires, providing prompt feedback, both positive and negative. I will update you with a monthly Comparative Market Analysis report or as often as the market changes and I can offer suggestions as to what you may need to upgrade or touch up your property to bring you the most money. As a Native Bostonian and experienced agent, familiarity with the local market allows me to price your home accurately.

For Buyers, not only can I help you to identify and purchase a property, but I have acquired a network of professionals including local mortgage brokers that can have you pre-approved for buying within a day and offer you assistance on selecting the best financing program for you. I will provide you with regular market analysis reports, recent sales information and guidance in helping you purchase the property at the best value for you.

For both Sellers and Buyers, my job does not end when an Offer is accepted or a Purchase & Sale Agreement is signed, I am able to close the sale by working directly with banks, insurance agents and attorneys to expedite any necessary information required and resolve any conflict and I will always be sitting beside you at Closings.

For Renters, I will provide you with recent rental information and run a credit check for you so you will know your credit score up front that potential lessors will be reviewing. Once a property is secured, I will provide you with association rules and regulations, a list of utility companies and local businesses to aid you in your move.

With my financial understanding of a competitive real estate market, sharp negotiation skills and creative solutions for conflict, my clients have told me they feel at ease and well taken care of during a stressful time for them.

Personal Background

My Dad is a retired Real Estate Broker/Certified Appraiser who worked initially with Jack Lee Real Estate Waltham and later started his own brokerage in Sudbury, MA: Bartley Faherty Real Estate. I worked as his assistant for many years attending showings with him and preparing purchase documents and appraisal packages as he was a one-finger typist back when forms were in triplicate!

Early on in my career, I worked as a Legal Secretary for Hill & Barlow Boston preparing Closing Documents for their extremely busy Real Estate Department working many nights and weekends for Charlie Ames, a well-known top producing Real Estate Attorney who always had a team of 8-10 assistant working with his to close major real estate deals.

Besides my Dad, real estate runs in the family as my sister Joanne Mahoney worked for many years for Looney & Grossman Boston as a Paralegal and my sister-in-law Ellen Faherty is a Real Estate Closing Attorney formerly of O'Neill & Young Cambridge and currently of Percy, Tedeschi & Kilcline Taunton.

I majored in Finance at Boston College with a minor in Irish studies and in my free time I enjoy cheery on the Eagles along with The Pats and The Celtics. Traveling back to my former home in Malibu, visiting my parents on the West Coast of Florida or family in Ireland is always a welcome change. I also enjoy going to the movies or a local Irish pub with my family, many cousins and friends and now my nieces and nephews for dinner and a chat!
